Eight nabbed over illegal transfer of land worth RM100mil

JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested eight people, including board members of a cooperative and Land Office personnel, for alleged involvement in the illegal transfer of 1,699ha of oil palm land belonging to an agency linked to the Johor government.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said here on Thursday (Aug 25) the three plots of land in Kluang, belonging to the South-East Johor Development Authority (Kejora), had a market value of over RM100mil.
