Board members held over illegal transfer of GLC land


JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested at least eight board members of a cooperative and land office for alleged involvement in the illegal transfer of 1,699ha of oil palm land valued at over RM100mil belonging to a state government-linked agency (GLC).

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the three plots in Kluang, belonging to Southeast Johor Development Authority (Kejora), had been leased to a cooperative in 1994.
