National cheer: Pupils from SJKT Desa Cemerlang in Johor Baru proudly parading the giant 40m-long Jalur Gemilang, which they painted, around the neighbourhood.

JOHOR BARU: Pupils, teachers and parents of a Tamil school here spread their National Day fervour around the neighbourhood when they organised a 2km parade to showcase their 40m-long national flag.

Besides the giant Jalur Gemilang, the SJKT Desa Cemerlang parade also featured a convoy of decorated cars and at least 15 pupils on bicycles adorned with the national flag.
