Negri Sembilan flag to be flown at half-mast in respect for Queen Elizabeth II

SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan flag will be flown at half-mast on Monday (Sept 19) as a sign of respect for Britain's Queen Elizabeth II who died on Sept 8.

State secretary Datuk Dr Razali Ab Malik said the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir had given his consent for this.

"The order was a mark of respect for the Queen who passed on at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

"The Queen, who reigned for 70 years, was also the longest serving monarch in the history of the United Kingdom," he said in a statement.

Razali said all state departments and agencies have been told to abide by the order and fly the state flag at half-mast on Monday.
