Perak flag to be flown at half-mast in respect for Queen Elizabeth II

IPOH: The Perak flag is to be flown at half-mast for three days as a mark of respect for the late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Sept 8.

Perak state secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim said Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah was saddened by the passing of Britain's longest-reigning monarch and decreed that the state flag be flown at half-mast from Sept 17 to 19.

"Sultan Nazrin appreciates the relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and the palace and state.

"The Sultan expressed his condolences while decreeing that the Perak flag be flown at half-mast for three days until the completion of her funeral on Monday (Sept 19)," he said in a statement Friday (Sept 16).
