Goodbye CovidNow, hello KKMNow

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry’s CovidNow website on the Covid-19 pandemic has now been expanded and renamed as KKMNow.

The new website will include everything that was in CovidNow but will also have information on health facilities and programmes such as blood donation, health screening and Peka B40 as well as data on contagious diseases.

“This is in line with the digitalisation of the health service plan and efforts to form a cohesive platform for sharing and reference,” said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

He said the new portal would have data not only from his ministry but also obtained through partnerships with the agencies of other ministries.

“This is to do away with the tendency of working in silos by government agencies and to facilitate policy-makers in obtaining health-related data,” he said.

Talking to the media later, Khairy said the data sets would be updated weekly.

“We are also discussing how to integrate KKMNow into the MySejahtera app.”

He also refuted allegations that RM196mil has been paid to MySJ Sdn Bhd, the private developer of the MySejhatera app.
