Medical fraternity lauds Budget 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Medical practitioners lauded the Finance Ministry’s Budget 2023 that was tabled on Friday (Oct 7) noting that there was a significant allocation improvement to the public health sector, contrary to previous years, and saw it as the right direction towards reforms needed in the healthcare system.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said in a statement post-Budget 2023 that the government has allocated RM36.139bil to the Health Ministry, of which RM31.5bil was for operating spending and RM4.63bil for development expenditure.
