PETALING JAYA: The RM40 electric bill subsidy for households with income of RM1,169 is a good step as energy cost is expected to increase in the first half of 2023.

Association of Water and Energy Research Malaysia (AWER) president S. Piarapakaran said this was due to the impending energy crunch in countries that have to face winter this year.
