KUALA LUMPUR: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) contributed 23.2% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with a growth of 12.1% to RM359.3bil in 2021, according to the Statistics Department (DOSM).
In a statement issued on Friday (Oct 14), it said the 23.2% contribution to GDP comprises of Gross Value Added ICT Industry (GVAICT) with 14% and e-commerce of other industries with 9.2%.
