Skip Stop Xpress bus fare RM1.10 from Oct 17

KUALA LUMPUR: Those using the Skip Stop Xpress bus service (LRT Ampang-Ampark Park-KLCC route) will need to pay only RM1.10 one way from Oct 17 compared with RM1.90 previously.

The service, which began in May and is still under the Proof of Concept (POC), will also be continued until Dec 30.

Rapid Bus chief executive officer Muhammad Yazurin Sallij said that with the new fare, more Ampang and nearby folk would have the option of using the service as a mode of transportation to the city centre.

"Although the service is only operational during peak hours in the morning and evening, from Monday to Friday, we have seen a 52% rise in the number of passengers for the past few months. This proves that more people have come to accept and trust our bus service,” he said in a statement Friday (Oct 14).

He said those using the bus service could save time by avoiding traffic congestion and costs by not having to pay for petrol and parking.

He said Rapid Bus was also considering several improvements to make their service more interesting and relevant to the public. - Bernama
