MELAKA: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob can ensure a stable and prosperous government after the 15th General Election (GE15), says Umno's Hang Tuah Jaya division.
Its chief Datuk Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali said the division supported a motion by the Umno supreme council naming Ismail Sabri, a party vice president, as the 10th prime minister candidate.
Mohd Ridhwan said Barisan Nasional has a proven track record to steer Malaysia towards becoming a prosperous and developed nation.
He said GE14 saw no dominant party emerging, and this led to unstable governance.
"We need more development and this can be achieved if the administration is helmed by experienced and performing leaders," he said in an interview here on Monday (Oct 17).
Mohd Ridhwan also reminded division members to work hard for the election without hoping for positions and rewards.
“We need to face challenges (posed by) changing trends in the national political landscape," he added.
