Death over a car seat: Teen throws knife, killing brother in Johor


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A scuffle between two siblings ended in tragedy when one died after the deceased’s sister allegedly killed him with a knife.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin said the incident took place at a house in Ulu Pulai on Wednesday (Oct 19) at around 2.15pm.

“According to the victim’s mother, the 16-year-old victim had a fight with his sister over a seat in the car on the way home from school," he said in a statement.

ACP Rahmat added the 18-year-old suspect admitted to having thrown a knife at the victim after being mocked when entering their house.

He said the suspect has been arrested and police would be applying for a remand order from court.

ACP Rahmat said the victim was confirmed to have died at 2.30pm and a post-mortem would be conducted at Sultanah Aminah Hospital on Thursday (Oct 20).

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
