KUALA LUMPUR: A stunning floral peacock display, with a long beautiful tail and a multi-tiered rotating “kolam”, now greets shoppers at the Centre Court of Suria KLCC here.

The decoration is an effort by the shopping mall to liven up the atmosphere for the Deepavali celebrations.

The breathtaking hand-made display consists of over 5,000 handcrafted artificial flowers that took close to three weeks to make, according to Suria KLCC public relations and communications manager Sherina Khairi.

“Only the finest materials were used in an intricate process that ensured each section of the decoration was one-of-a-kind.

“We also used many lights and glowing decorations to make the centrepiece more beautiful to showcase a message of prosperity.

“We believe that our decoration’s uniqueness will captivate the visitors,” she said, adding that they would plan even more elaborate decorations for next year’s Deepavali.

“We love it when customers come to admire our hard work, which is why we plan to go even grander for next year’s celebrations.”

This year’s Suria KLCC Deepavali decorations also feature a traditional Indian gazebo and a 20ft wide rotating kolam. They will be on show at Centre Court until Oct 30.
