Police raid Kg Baru house, drugs worth almost RM200,000 seized


KUALA LUMPUR: Almost RM200,000 in drugs has been seized after police raided a house in Kampung Baru here.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said a 57-year-old man was arrested in the raid on Friday (Oct 21).

"The raid led to the seizure of 59kg of cannabis, 1.015kg of meth and 450g of heroin, with the value of the drugs estimated to be around RM190,200.

"A urine test showed that the suspect was positive for ketamine and morphine.

"Checks showed that he had a record of 15 offences and previously arrested under Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985," ACP Noor Dellhan said in a statement Saturday (Oct 22).

He added investigations are still underway to identify other suspects.

"The suspect has been remanded until Oct 28," ACP Noor Dellhan added.
