M'sians share tastes, celebrate differences, says PM in extending Happy Deepavali wishes

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is unique, we share tastes and celebrate differences, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri in wishing a Happy Deepavali to all those celebrating the festival in Malaysia.

"Thosai, muruku, sarees and dhoti, the sounds of drums and popular Deepavali songs echoing all paint a picture of how lively the celebrations are this year," the caretaker Prime Minister said in a Facebook post Sunday (Oct 23) night.

He added that it has become a must for him to visit Little India in Brickfields to observe preparations for Deepavali.

"I would like to wish a very Happy Deepavali to all Indians in Malaysia.

"If you go back to your hometowns, be careful on the road. Enjoy this festive happily with beloved family.

"Hopefully the festival of lights will bring more unity and strengthen the bond among the Malaysian Family," he added in his post.
