Singapore names orchid in honour of Tunku Azizah

SINGAPORE: Singapore has named a species of hybrid orchid as 'Dendrobium Queen Azizah of Malaysia' in honour of Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The naming of the flower was held in conjunction with the state visit of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tunku Azizah to Singapore from Tuesday (Oct 25) to Friday (Oct 28).
