Man crushed to death by bulldozer in freak accident in Johor

PASIR GUDANG: A man died in a freak accident after being crushed by a bulldozer at the waste disposal site on Saturday (Oct 29) at 10.02am.

Pasir Gudang Fire Station operation chief Shahrul Suboh said the incident took place at Jalan Rumbia 4, Tanjung Langsat near here.

“The 51-year-old victim was repairing the bulldozer when the mishap happened,’’ he said in a statement.

Shahrul said firemen had to use an excavator to release the victim’s body underneath the bulldozer.

He said the victim was pronounced dead by the paramedic team from the Health Ministry at the site.

“The body has been handed over to police for further action,’’ said Shahrul.

He added nine firemen from the Pasir Gudang Fire station were involved in the operation with one Fire Rapid Tender (FRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle.

The operation ended at 11.27am.
