GE15: MIC to contest state seats in Sungkai, Buntong and Aulong, Makkal Sakti in Jelapang


IPOH: Perak MIC chairman Datuk V. Elango will contest the Sungkai state assembly seat.

S. Jayagopi, who was a Ipoh City Councillor will stand in Buntong while G. Shanmugiavalloo will contest in Aulong.

The Jelapang state seat will be contested by Perak Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party Wanita chief Hamidah Muhamad.

The names were shared with members of the press via WhatsApp by caretaker Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani's office.

Saarani had announced the 15th General Election candidates for the state seats at a hotel here earlier on Wednesday (Nov 2).

Elango will again face DAP's A. Sivanesan, who he lost to in the 14th General Election in 2018, by a 6,493 majority.
