GE15: Cops to deploy drones, 31,000 personnel on Nomination Day


KUALA LUMPUR: Police will deploy drones together with over 31,000 personnel to ensure public security on Nomination Day for the 15th General Election (GE15) on Saturday (Nov 5).

Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Seri Hazani Ghazali said 31,183 uniformed and plain clothes personnel will be mobilised.

"We are prepared to ensure public order and security throughout the nomination process.

"Besides personnel, we will also deploy our drone units to monitor the situation," said Comm Hazani, who is also the Police Force GE15 Operations director.

He urged those involved to cooperate by following the law and refrain from any acts of provocation.
