GE15: Ex-PAS MP Khairuddin shrugs off boos at nomination centre for Kuala Nerus seat

KUALA NERUS: Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali was jeered by supporters of his former party at the nomination centre but the Kuala Nerus incumbent is unwavered.

The former PAS central committee member, who will be contesting under a Barisan Nasional ticket, would face off his former comrade PAS’ Datuk Dr Alias Razak, Datuk Seri Suhaimi Hashim (PH) and Azaha Wahid (Putra).

"That is nothing, this is how politics is, what's important is we remain brothers and sisters even though we are different," he said when asked about the negative reaction by the PAS supporters.

Meanwhile, returning officer Ahmad Azizi Zulkifli said four nominations were received prior to the closing of the nomination centre at 10am and all were accepted.

In GE14, Khairuddin won the seat with 37,974 votes - a majority of 8,447.
