GE15: Former Perak MB in a five-cornered fight in Lumut

PETALING JAYA: Former Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir will be contesting in the Lumut parliament seat in a five-cornered fight in GE15.

The Barisan Nasional secretary-general will be up against Pakatan Harapan, Perikatan Nasional, Pejuang and Warian.

"After a draw was made, I got number one. God-willing, may you vote for me," Zambry posted on Facebook after submitting his candidacy during nomination day on Saturday (Nov 5).

Zambry contested the Lumut seat in GE14, but lost in a razor-thin majority of 400 votes against Amanah’s Mohd Hatta Ramli.

The 60-year-old Zambry was also the incumbent Pangkor assemblyman for four terms from 2004.
