GE15: Nomination of disabled candidate proves maturity, openness of Malaysian politics

PUTRAJAYA: The appearance of Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) Dr Noraishah Mydin Abdul Aziz, a professional figure with a disability, on nomination day not only added colour to the 15th general election (GE15), but also proves the maturity and openness of Malaysian politics.

Dr Noraishah Mydin, who suffers from spinal bifida (a type of neural tube defect) since birth, will contest the Putrajaya parliamentary seat on the PH ticket against five other candidates, including Barisan Nasional incumbent Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
