GE15: Perikatan willing to work with BN to form govt after polls, says Takiyuddin

KOTA BARU: Perikatan Nasional is willing to work with Barisan Nasional and form a mixed government after the 15th General Election (GE15), says Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

The PAS secretary-general, who is also Perikatan's candidate for the Kota Baru seat, said he was confident that Barisan would be supportive of this idea.

He also expressed confidence that Perikatan would be able to form the government, whether on its own or with other parties.

However, he said working with Pakatan Harapan was not an option.

"PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had said if we can’t work together (with Barisan) before the general election, maybe we can establish that relationship after.

"Our first preference is Barisan. Though no discussions have been held throughout this period of campaigning, I’m confident Barisan will accept (forming the government with Perikatan).

"There were discussions before this, but while we’re unable to work together now, we did say that maybe we could work together after GE15," he said after a ceramah at Kampung Kubang Kiat here Monday (Nov 14) night.
