GE15: Wet weather fails to stop early voters from casting ballots in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: The wet weather has not dampened the spirit of policemen from going out to cast their ballots during early voting for the 15th General Election (GE15) on Tuesday (Nov 15).

Some of them were seen lining up before the polling centre opened at 8am to cast their votes at the Penang police contingent headquarters.

Returning officer Rozita Hami said there are 797 early voters as well as postal voters at the centre.

A total of 224,828 early voters consisting of 117,473 military personnel and their spouses and 107,355 policemen and their spouses from the General Operations Force (PGA) will vote for GE15 and the Bugaya by-election in Sabah.
