PETALING JAYA: Sepang candidate Aiman Athirah Sabu carried on with her campaign after suffering an injury during a walkabout at a morning market on Tuesday (Nov 15) after a car accidentally ran over her foot.
"I was advised to rest but I braved it out and met the people of Sepang," she said in a tweet on Wednesday (Nov 16).
"Pray that I continue to be strong for us," she added.
The Pakatan Harapan women’s chief would be facing an eight-cornered fight in Sepang.
Others candidates in the fray are Bersatu Srikandi chief Datuk Seri Rina Harun (Perikatan Nasional), Pejuang Wanita chief Datin Paduka Che Asmah Ibrahim (Gerakan Tanah Air-Pejuang) as well as Sepang Umno vice-chairman Anuar Basiran (Barisan Nasional).
There are also four independent candidates in the race.
They are former MPSepang councillor Mohd Syahrul Amri Mat Sari and lawyer Datuk Mohd Daud Leong Abdullah, as well as businessmen Muneswaran Muthiah and Nageswaran Ravi.
Semalam waktu walkabout di sebuah pasar, saya mengalami kecederaan apabila kaki saya digilis tayar kereta.
Saya dinasihatkan untuk berehat tapi saya masih mahu gagahkan diri dan bertemu rakyat Sepang. Doakan saya tetap terus kuat untuk kita! pic.twitter.com/6uUtmGlfMz
