ALOR SETAR: Pejuang chairman and Langkawi parliamentary candidate Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali have cast their votes for the 15th General Election (GE15) at SK Titi Gajah on Saturday (Nov 19).

The couple arrived at the polling centre at about 10.50am and spent about 10min at the centre to cast their votes for the Kuala Kedah parliamentary constituency.

Dr Mahathir also took the opportunity to send a birthday wish to Noorshifa Ahmad, a video journalist with Astro Awani.

He sang a birthday song to Noorshifa, who celebrated her 28th birthday on Nov 19.

When approached by reporters, Dr Mahathir said so far, the polling process went smoothly.

"I went to two polling centres at Langkawi earlier, not many people yet there, maybe because it is still early," he said.

The GE15 oldest candidate called on voters to come out early to fulfil their responsibilities as a citizen.
