GE15: BN-Pakatan meeting starts at Seri Pacific


KUALA LUMPUR: Top guns from Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional are currently meeting at the Seri Pacific Hotel here.

The meeting is believed to be in relation to the formation of the next government, ahead of the 2pm deadline on Monday (Nov 21).

A a photo tweeted by Pakatan Harapan communication director Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil, former prime ministsr Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was seen shaking hands with PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

Barisan Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was also seen warmly greeting Pakatan chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Earlier at a press conference with 26 Barisan MPs, Ahmad Zahid had said that only the coalition supreme council could make decisions for the MPs.

Pakatan sources said that the coalition is open to having Barisan as its partner.

"That’s a possibility that is being explored," said a source.

Several Pakatan MP’s were also seen at the Seri Pacific Hotel which is located next to Umno’s headquarters.

Among them were DAP secretary-general and Seremban MP Anthony Loke, Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim and Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Abdul Karim.
