THE body of a youth who fell off the Penang Bridge last Thursday was found floating in a fish cage in Pulau Aman, Kosmo! reported.

The man, 22, from Pendang, Kedah, was found by a group of fishermen at around 9am, who then contacted the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).

State MMEA director Kapten Abd Razak Mohamed said the man was thought to have fallen off the Penang Bridge at around 5pm on Thursday.

He was suspected to have drowned after authorities found a motorcycle at the 2.2km mark on the bridge. The body was brought to the police jetty in Batu Uban before being handed over to the authorities.

> Harian Metro reported model, actress and singer Noorkumalasari as advising artistes to always take care of their appearance.

Noor Kumalasari Mohamed Taib, 66, said artistes should continue to do so when on their own private time or even when they had retired from the industry.

“As an artiste, even in the past, I would always wear make-up or dress appropriately, so if any photographer wanted to take my picture, I would be ready.

“Even when I was an air stewardess, I always took care of my weight and body shape. It’s lucky I don’t put on weight easily,” said the crooner who was famous for her hits Jangan Kau Kembali, Mata and Wajah in the 1980s.

She said artistes should also be more exclusive with their screen appearances.

“I would only take up one acting offer at one time. If we were late in arriving on set because we were too caught up with filming at another site, it would only cause the producers to lose money,” she said.

Noorkumalasari, who is a divorcee with one son, is also the sister of another legend, Anita Sarawak.
