No political leaders seen at Istana Negara with 2pm deadline looming

KUALA LUMPUR: With only 30 minutes before the deadline given by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for parties and coalitions to form a government and present a candidate for Prime Minister ends, no political leaders have been spotted entering Istana Negara.

The King was reported to have been seen leaving the palace grounds through Gate 1 in an SUV at around noon Tuesday (Nov 22), and there have been no reports of His Majesty returning.

There have also been no recent announcements from Istana Negara or any parties regarding the candidate for prime minister and who has the majority support.

As the clock ticks towards 2pm, Istana Negara remains the nation's centre of focus.
