PETALING JAYA: Commuters have been advised to expect delays along the Kelana Jaya LRT line due to a technical glitch with one of its trains, says RapidKL.
It said the frequency of train services at various stations between Kerinchi and Ampang Park would be at about 15 minutes after a train had to be taken out of service.
"A replacement train will be operating shortly with subsequent train schedules to be updated.
"Thank you for your patience and we apologise for the inconvenience caused," it said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (Nov 29).
Earlier in November, a total of 16 stations along the Kelana Jaya LRT line were closed and their operations suspended from Nov 9-15 after the LRT Automatic Train Control (ATC) system malfunctioned.
These stations were Kelana Jaya, Taman Bahagia, Taman Paramount, Asia Jaya, Taman Jaya, Universiti, Kerinchi, Bangsar, Abdullah Hukum, KL Sentral, Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, KLCC and Ampang Park.
But after swift intervention, with experts coming in from Singapore and technical experts from Thales Group – the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in Canada - services resumed two days earlier than expected.
