Dr Wee attends Malay cousin's wedding

PETALING JAYA: Differences in religion and culture are no barrier to MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, as he attended the Malay wedding ceremony of his cousin on Sunday (Dec 11).

Dr Wee said that he shares strong familial ties with his cousin, Azhari Azizi as his mother Junaidah Ibrahim is a sister of his mother.

“Regardless of religion or culture, my brotherly relationship with Azhari remains as firm as ever,” he said in a Facebook post on Sunday (Dec 11).

He said that many members of his extended family from Johor, Melaka and Penang also attended the wedding.

He ended the post with his extended best wishes to the newly-wed couple.

“May Azhari and his partner, Humaira Mardhiah always live happily ever after,” he ended.
