Two passengers hurt in bus-lorry collision on NSE


PETALING JAYA: An early morning accident between a lorry and a bus has left two passengers injured.

In a statement on Wednesday (Dec 14), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the accident occurred at around 2am along KM457.4 of the North–South Expressway.

"The accident was believed to have occurred after the bus, which was carrying 25 passengers, tried to avoid a lorry that had changed lanes while en route to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).

"The bus crashed into the back of the lorry, causing it to spin before coming to a halt in the emergency lane.

"Two women passengers suffered light injuries. They have been brought to Hospital Sungai Buloh for treatment," he added.

Witnesses are urged to contact assistant traffic investigating officer Sjn Che Mat Nasir Che Muda at 019 915 4088, or the nearest police station.
