Batang Kali landslide: Johor Ruler extends condolences to victims


JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has extended his condolences to the victims and family members of the Batang Kali landslide in Selangor.

The Sultan also expressed his hope that those involved in the tragedy at the campsite will be granted the strength to get through this difficult time.

"I am deeply saddened by the news.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families at this trying time.

"May they be granted the strength and fortitude to pull through this agonising period,” the Sultan said in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday (Dec 16).

A campsite at Father's Organic Farm in Kampung Kuantan, Batang Kali was struck by a landslide in the early hours of Friday morning.

So far, 16 people have been confirmed dead while search and rescue operations are ongoing.
