FBI help in child porn case

KUALA LUMPUR: A 39-year-old man has been detained for possessing child pornography on his computer.

Royal Malaysia Police secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said the man was detained by the Bukit Aman CID Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division (D11) following a raid at his home in Klang on Tuesday.

“The suspect is believed to have communicated with several children, and even downloaded child pornography via social media,” she said in a statement yesterday.

The suspect has been remanded until Saturday, she said, adding that the arrest was possible due to close cooperation with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
