Party leaders arrive at Perdana Putra ahead of unity govt agreement signing


PUTRAJAYA: Leaders representing different parties which are part of the unity government have arrived for the signing ceremony of the coalition agreement on Friday (Dec 16).

The signing is expected to take place at 3pm at Bangunan Perdana Putra here.

Among those spotted were Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, GRS secretary-general Datuk Masidi Manjun, Upko incoming president Datuk Ewon Benedick and other GRS members of Parliament.

Also seen here were Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, among others.

Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan as well as Pakatan Harapan’s Fahmi Fadzil and Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail were also seen arriving at the ceremony.

Coalitions and parties in the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will sign the agreement today that will, among others, seal their commitment to work together until the end of this Parliament term.
