Batang Kali landslide: Rescuers find body of 24th victim, nine still missing


HULU SELANGOR: The body of a girl has been found bringing the death toll from the Father's Organic Farm landslide to 24.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said authorities are still searching for nine more victims.

"All agencies are trying their best to search and rescue the remaining victims," he told reporters at the landslide site on Saturday (Dec 17).

Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Department, in a Facebook post, said work is now underway to bring the body of the girl out of the site.

"As at 4.38pm Saturday, nine more victims are still missing and the death toll is now 24," said the department's Operations Management Centre.

It said a total of 128 personnel were involved in the search and rescue operations.
