SPECULATION that superstar Jay Chou has his own private yacht was sparked after another celebrity made a joke about it on his Instagram profile, China Press reported.

Chou, who is slated to perform in Singapore on Dec 17 and 18, uploaded photos of himself and wife Hannah Quinlivan enjoying each other’s company at a beach on the island city.

The 43-year-old musician, known as the King of Mandopop, was seen wearing a dark blue cloth mask and a green shirt with prints that read “On Vacation”.

Chou’s friend and fellow celebrity Ashin, the frontman of rock band Mayday, left a cheeky comment under his photo.

“I want to see your private yacht,” Ashin wrote.

The comment sparked speculation among fans that the star indeed owned a yacht.

“I want to see it too. Brother you are so cool!” one fan wrote.

It was earlier rumoured that Chou, who was reported to have earned T$460mil (RM65.92mil) in endorsement deals in the first half of 2022 alone, owned a private jet.

> The daily also reported that Taiwan-based Ukrainian model Tatiana Lin, who is currently dating Malaysian actor Hero Tai, does not believe in going Dutch with a partner.

Lin told fans on Instagram that she was unable to accept it if she were asked to pay when going out on dates, admitting that Tai “pays for everything”.
