Batang Kali landslide: Queen visits site of tragedy


HULU SELANGOR: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah visited the site of the landslide at Father’s Organic Farm here on Sunday (Dec 18).

She arrived at around 4.30pm with her daughter Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafizatullah.

Her Majesty was met at the scene by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani and Fire and Rescue Department

director-general Datuk Seri Hamdan Wahid.

Her Majesty was briefed on the search and rescue operations for about 30 minutes at the police operations centre at the scene.

Her Majesty then told the media that the SAR team was doing its best to find the remaining victims.

"I hope everyone is patient; they are doing their best," Her Majesty said.
