Floods: 12 roads in Terengganu affected


KUALA TERENGGANU: A total of 12 roads were affected, including some completely closed, due to floods that hit the state from 8am Sunday (Dec 18).

According to the Public Works Department Disaster Management official website, seven roads were closed to all vehicles while five other roads were closed to light vehicles.

The roads closed to all vehicles are Jalan Tepus-Kuala Jengal; Jalan Sungai Tong-Pelong; Jalan Jertih/Pasir Akar-Keruak; Jalan Jabi/Oh/Pasir Akar; Jalan Jertih/Pasir Akar-Keruak; Jalan Permaisuri-Hulu Seladang and Jalan Cengal Besar/Kuala Loh.

The roads still open to heavy vehicles are Jalan Kemasik/Air Jernih/Ibok/ Uncle; Jalan Kertih-Batu Putih; Langkap/Pelong; Jalan Jerangau-Jabor and Jalan Chalok-Telaga Papan.

Members of the public are advised to be vigilant and prioritise safety when travelling in the affected areas. - Bernama
