Floods: Nadma reports 63,415 evacuees nationwide, Terengganu worst hit


PETALING JAYA: The National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) reports that there are 63,415 flood victims nationwide as at 6am Tuesday (Dec 20).

The agency said that the worst affected state was TERENGGANU, where eight districts have been hit by floods. A total of 37,021 individuals from 10,211 families in the state have been evacuated to flood relief centres in the state.

In KELANTAN, nine districts have been hit by floods affecting 25,353 victims from 6,897 families.

In a tweet Tuesday morning, Nadma also said that Pahang, Johor and Perak were also affected by floods.

In PAHANG, 934 victims from 235 families are seeking refuge in relief centres after floods hit two districts in the state.

In PERAK, 54 victims from 17 families have been evacuated to relief centres while in JOHOR, there are 53 evacuees from 17 families.
