BATANG KALI: The search and rescue operation at the landslide site here has been temporarily halted on Wednesday (Dec 21) due to continuous rain.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Suffian Abdullah confirmed that matter.

"It has been halted due to the rain as conditions are dangerous for the search and rescue teams," he said.

He added that search operations are dependent on weather conditions and the safety level.

The body of a man was recovered from the site at the Farmview area of Father's Organic Farm at 11.16am on Wednesday.

With this, the total number of confirmed deaths is 26, with seven victims still unaccounted for.
