Batang Kali landslide: Search suspended again due to heavy rain

HULU SELANGOR: The search and rescue operation at the Father's Organic Farm landslide site has been stopped temporarily due to heavy rain.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Suffian Abdullah said the operation was stopped at about 4.30pm on Thursday (Dec 22).

"We stopped for a while at 2.30pm due to rain but resumed after about an hour after it subsided.

"However, we had to halt the operation again as the rain started again, even more heavily," he said.

Supt Suffian said the operation will only resume when the rain stops.

"We have to take into account the safety of rescue personnel.

"The heavy rain will hamper the search operation as well," he added.
