Batang Kali landslide: Selangor Bomba chief heads straight back to site from hospital


HULU SELANGOR: Datuk Norazam Khamis, who was hospitalised after suffering a minor stroke, headed straight to the landslide site at Father's Organic Farm here after he was discharged.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director said he wanted to give moral support to personnel involved in the search and rescue (SAR) operation.

"I was discharged today so I decided to come here to give all those involved in the SAR operation some support," he told reporters when he stopped by the operation centre on Thursday (Dec 22).

Norazam also thanked everyone who wished him well when he was hospitalised.

"I am grateful for all the wishes," he said.

On Monday (Dec 19), Norazam was rushed to Hospital Selayang after suffering from exhaustion and a minor stroke.

Norazam has been at the site of Fathers Organic Farm landslide at Batang Kali since the disaster was reported to authorities in the wee hours of Friday (Dec 16) morning.
