Rare but still a good treat, Dr Wee shares about rempeyek, roti kok and kopi-o

PETALING JAYA: Take a break, have a rempeyek, or the all time favorite coffee-dipped bread.

Amid being in the bustling city, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has taken a light moment from office to promote the Javanese cracker, along with crunchy bread dipped in cup of kopi-O.

In a Facebook post, Dr Wee said it was rare to see city folks still indulging in such simple treats which still remain affordable today.

"Introducing kopi-O with rempeyek and bread dipped in kopi-O. Quite delicious!

"Roti kok, or the crunchy bread, however, is a local product.

"It's rare to see people in the city still eating roti kok dipped in kopi-O these days.

"A pack of kopi-O with 12 sachets costs only RM16.80, hence to brew a cup costs only RM1.40, not even RM3. Provided, hot water is a must have!" said Dr Wee.

He also said for those who wish to know where to purchase the rempeyek loaded with peanuts may contact him.
