Sinkhole appears in Ampang

KUALA LUMPUR: A sinkhole has appeared along Jalan AU3 in Ampang.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Hafisham Mohd Noor said the sinkhole was detected at 3.26pm on Thursday (Dec 29).

"We believe soil erosion caused the sinkhole to appear in the middle of the road.

"The sinkhole is about 1.5m (5ft) deep," he said when contacted, adding that no vehicles or buildings were affected and no one had been injured.

"We have contacted the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council for further action," he said.
