Klang Valley faces another water cut during year-end holidays

PETALING JAYA: The Klang Valley folk will usher in the new year with dry taps yet again, less than a week after water cuts dampened Christmas celebrations.

Air Selangor announced that an odour pollution incident was detected at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station intake, which caused the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant at 7pm on New Year's Eve.

"The list of areas that are expected to be impacted will be shared soon," it said in a Facebook post.

Air Selangor added that the public can refer its social media accounts or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 for the latest information.

Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted at the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor application.
