Two Immigration staff members injured after vehicle skids off road in Kunak, Sabah


An Immigration Department van with five personnel skidded off the road in Sabah's Kunak district Monday (Jan 2).

KOTA KINABALU: Two Immigration Department personnel members were injured after a van ferrying them skidded off the road and crashed into a drain on the road shoulder in Sabah's east coast Kunak district.

The two injured individuals were removed from the vehicle by firefighters before being sent to the Kunak Hospital in an ambulance.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, three others in the van were unhurt in the incident that occurred at KM38 of the Kunak-Lahad Datu road at around 11.45am Monday (Jan 2).

The condition of the two injured Immigration personnel could not be immediately ascertained.

It is learned that the immigration personnel were on duty in the area when the accident occurred.
