DIRECTOR Syamsul Yusof has promised to break the silence over claims of domestic turmoil in his marriage with actress Puteri Sarah Liyana, reported Utusan Malaysia.
Syamsul, who directed the smash hit film Mat Kilau, said the constant barrage of insults and negative comments had affected work on his latest film The Original Gangster.
“I am willing to accept whatever insults are thrown at me. It’s just that, as a human being, I must admit the constant insults have started to disturb my sleep and focus,” he said in a video on his Instagram page yesterday.
Hoping to start the new year afresh, Syamsul said he will publicly reveal all the details about his relationship with another actress, Ira Kazar, soon.
“For more than a year and a half, the personal lives and domestic issues of our household and marriage had been explicitly shared on social media, interviews and even television.
“It’s now time for me to speak up as well. I remained silent all this time because it’s a domestic matter that I really didn’t want to share with outsiders.
> Complication arising from a rare disease has left a 25-year-old woman in Seremban, Negri Sembilan bedridden, reported Kosmo!.
In just over a year, Nur Erma Rusman’s active outgoing life was destroyed after she was diagnosed with tuberculous meningitis.
She started losing her eyesight after the disease ravaged her brain, lungs and spine.
Her mother Nor Atikah Alilis, 45, said Erma’s life is no longer in immediate danger after she was discharged from Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar’s intensive care unit last February, where she had been receiving treatment for 22 days.
However, not all is well as Atikah had to quit her job as a grocery store assistant last August to take care of Erma as the latter recovers from an injured back and limited motor skills due to being bedridden.
Erma has also become anorexic after suddenly losing 50kg of body mass from her previous weight of 99kg, resulting in weak metabolism and constant low energy levels, on top of the other complications.
