Cops bust drug ring in KL, 11 suspects nabbed

KUALA LUMPUR: A drug syndicate that dealt in liquid marijuana was busted after suspected members were arrested in raids.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said that the first batch of arrests, four men, were made on Jan 3 after a raid at a premises on Jalan Klang Lama.

"The raid led to the discovery of 494g of ganja and 3,496ml of liquid ganja.

"Based on information gathered, follow-up arrests led to the capture of seven more suspects in the same area.

"Their modus operandi included processing the liquid ganja into ganja-flavoured vape liquids. Each vape bottle will be sold at RM60 per 5ml bottle," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 4).

"The police are conducting surveillance to identify other members of the syndicate and to determine the source of their supply," he said.
