Sabah's seven Pakatan reps reiterate support for current state govt

KOTA KINABALU: The seven Sabah Pakatan Harapan assemblymen have reiterated their stand to stick with the current state government for the sake of political stability.

In a joint statement Thursday (Jan 5), they said that they would not throw their support behind anyone after the 2020 state elections.

They also said that any statements claiming otherwise, or that anyone saying that they have the support of these seven Pakatan assemblymen, were untrue.

“Our last statement in November last year remains the same,” it said.

In November, Sabah Pakatan said that they supported Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister and would work with him for the development and stability of the state.

These seven have also decided en-bloc to ensure political stability in Sabah so that development and welfare for the people can be implemented smoothly.

The seven are Datuk Christina Liew of Api-Api, Datuk Frankie Fung Ming Poon (Tanjung Papat), Datuk Ewon Benedick (Kadamaian), Phoong Jin Zhe (Luyang), Jannie Lasimbang (Kepayan), Tan Lee Fatt (Likas) and Inanam assemblyman Peto Galim.
